You have been directed to this page because your employer has sent you for a health check-up. Here you will find all the information on how to prepare for the health check and which documents need to be filled out in advance.
Please do not attend the health check while on sick leave – an acute illness may affect the results of the health check!
Cancellation of a health check booking directly impacts our ability to offer flexible and timely services to clients with urgent needs for consultations or check-ups. Please notify us as early as possible by email at info@mediserv.ee if you cannot attend the appointment. If the visit is less than 48 hours away, please call 5664 1211 to cancel by phone. Early notification allows us to offer the time slot to someone else in need.
Please make sure to complete the “Employee health declaration” and, if necessary (at the request of your employer), the “Mental health questionnaire” before the health check. The health declaration must not be shared with third parties (except for the doctor and nurse conducting the health check), as it contains confidential information about your health. Please bring an identity document (ID card/passport/driving license) to the health check.
If you have been prescribed medication, please take your medicine as usual on the day of the health check. However, avoid eating or drinking for 2 hours before your appointment. Generally, the health check includes a painless blood sample from your finger, as we use special automatic needles.
If you wear glasses, please bring them along with the prescription for your current glasses if possible. If you are a railway worker, police officer, or security guard, please remove your contact lenses 2 hours before the appointment.
If a urine sample has been ordered, please remember that at least 4-6 hours should have passed since your last urination. The day before and up until the time the urine is collected, avoid consuming acidic foods and drinks, as well as beetroot. Use the special collection cup provided at the clinic. Do not touch the inside of the cup or the lid. Start collecting your urine immediately in the cup; the first 20 ml is needed for analysis, so fill the cup halfway. Finish urinating in the toilet. After collecting the sample, close the cup tightly and write your name on the cup.
A cardiovascular test that evaluates your endurance and helps detect health issues that may go unnoticed in a regular resting EKG. If you have recently recovered from a serious illness, please come for the test only when your performance has fully recovered. Prior to the test, you will need to sign a consent form, which can be found in the doctor’s office or reception. Wear comfortable, sporty clothing and footwear for the test, or bring them along. We recommend bringing something sweet (such as fruit, juice, yogurt, sports drink, or a protein bar) to help you recover after the test. It is advisable to avoid strenuous physical activity 24 hours before the test. The maximum weight allowed for the test is 160 kg.
